彭敏徐发明的“第三只眼”长得像个半透明塑料盒，使用者隔着胶垫把它贴在脑门上。在这只塑料眼睛里有一个小小的扬声器、陀螺仪和声波定位传感器。当陀螺仪探测到使用者低头的时候，塑料眼睛就会睁开，开始监测使用者前方区域，感应到有障碍物时，它会通过扬声器提醒佩戴者注意。
